Who we are
DungeonTome is operated by Studio Goodson Ltd, trading as DungeonTome.
You can contact us at [email protected].
Age Restrictions
You must be at least 18 years old to use DungeonTome.
Your account
You must provide accurate account information and keep your account secure. You are responsible for activity on your account unless that activity results from our failure to use reasonable care.
What DungeonTome does
DungeonTome helps you record tabletop roleplaying game sessions and turn those recordings into AI-generated summaries, including recaps, notes, quests, loot, locations, and other session material.
DungeonTome is designed for personal tabletop play and campaign organisation. It is not a storage backup service, legal record, publishing platform, emergency service, or professional advice service.
Recording sessions
You are responsible for making sure you are allowed to record a session before using DungeonTome. This includes getting any consent required from the people at your table and following any laws that apply where you and the other participants are located.
Please do not record anyone secretly or use DungeonTome in a way that violates another person's privacy, rights, or reasonable expectations.
Your content
"Your content" means anything you record, upload, edit, submit, publish, or share through DungeonTome, including audio recordings, transcripts, prompts, notes, corrections, campaign details, character names, and public summary links.
You keep ownership of your content. By using DungeonTome, you give us permission to host, process, transcribe, summarise, transform, display, store, transmit, and otherwise use your content as needed to provide, maintain, protect, and improve DungeonTome.
You are responsible for your content and must make sure you have the rights, permissions, and consents needed to use it with DungeonTome.
AI-generated output
DungeonTome uses automated transcription, summarisation, and generation tools. AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate, inconsistent, or unsuitable for a particular purpose.
To provide these features, we may send your audio, transcripts, prompts, campaign notes, generated summaries, and related content to third-party services that help us process, transcribe, summarise, generate, store, monitor, and deliver DungeonTome. By using DungeonTome, you consent to that processing.
You are responsible for reviewing summaries before relying on them, publishing them, sharing them, or using them outside your own table. DungeonTome does not guarantee that generated content will be accurate, complete, available, or free from mistakes.
Content rules
You agree to follow our Content Policy.
Do not use DungeonTome to copy, upload, publish, or share material you do not have permission to use. If your session references tabletop publishers, adventures, worlds, settings, characters, monsters, items, maps, artwork, music, or other third-party material, you are responsible for following any applicable licence, permission, or fan content policy.
DungeonTome is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any tabletop publisher unless we say so explicitly.
Public sharing
Some DungeonTome summaries can be shared using a public link. Anyone with the link may be able to view that summary.
You are responsible for deciding whether a summary is appropriate to share. Please check summaries before sharing them and remove anything private, sensitive, unlawful, harmful, or not yours to publish.
We may remove, hide, disable access to, or restrict shared content at our discretion, with or without notice, especially if we believe it may violate these Terms, our Content Policy, another person's rights, or the law.
Subscriptions and payment
Some DungeonTome features may require a paid subscription or other purchase. Prices, billing periods, included allowances, and available features may vary by platform, region, account, promotion, or plan.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. You are responsible for managing and cancelling your subscription through the place where you bought it.
If you buy through Apple's App Store, your purchase, cancellation, billing, and refund request are handled by Apple under Apple's own terms and processes.
If you buy through Google Play, your purchase, cancellation, billing, and refund request may be handled by Google or by DungeonTome, depending on the issue, Google's policies, and applicable law. Contact us at [email protected] if you need help with a Google Play refund request.
Except where required by law or by the applicable app store rules, fees are non-refundable and we do not provide refunds or credits for partially used subscription periods, unused allowances, deleted sessions, or unused features.
Usage allowances
DungeonTome may include limits on recording time, uploads, transcription, summaries, image generation, storage, public sharing, or other usage.
We may enforce, change, reset, or remove allowances to protect the service, prevent abuse, comply with platform requirements, or reflect changes to plans and pricing. We will try to describe paid plan allowances clearly at the point of purchase.
Things you must not do
You must not:
- Use DungeonTome for unlawful, harmful, abusive, deceptive, or infringing activity
- Upload, generate, publish, or share content that violates these Terms or our Content Policy
- Record people without any consent required by law
- Interfere with, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or attack DungeonTome or its systems
- Try to bypass paywalls, usage limits, security controls, authentication, or access restrictions
- Use DungeonTome to build, train, or improve a competing service without our written permission
- Sell, rent, sublicense, or commercially exploit DungeonTome access unless we agree in writing
- Misrepresent DungeonTome output as official, licensed, sponsored, or endorsed by a third party when it is not
Account suspension and termination
You can stop using DungeonTome at any time.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account or access to DungeonTome if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms, created risk for other users, infringed another person's rights, caused harm to the service, failed to pay fees, or used DungeonTome unlawfully.
Where appropriate, we may give notice or an opportunity to fix the issue. Some situations may require immediate action.
Service changes and availability
We are still improving DungeonTome. We may add, change, limit, suspend, remove, or discontinue features, plans, integrations, models, allowances, and platform support.
We do not guarantee that DungeonTome will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We may need to perform maintenance, respond to incidents, comply with legal obligations, or rely on third-party services that we do not control.
Third-party services
DungeonTome depends on third-party services for things like app distribution, authentication, payments, transcription, AI generation, hosting, storage, monitoring, and email.
Those third-party services may have their own terms, policies, limits, outages, and processing rules. We are not responsible for third-party services that we do not control, but we remain responsible where the law says we cannot exclude responsibility.
Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or your mandatory consumer rights.
DungeonTome is provided with reasonable care and skill. However, we do not promise that DungeonTome will meet every need, produce perfect or complete results, be available without interruption, preserve every file forever, or be suitable for professional, legal, medical, safety-critical, or commercial publishing purposes.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, losses that do not result from our breach of these Terms, business losses, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of goodwill, or loss caused by your failure to keep a separate backup where it was reasonable for you to do so.
Your responsibility to us
You are responsible for reasonable losses, costs, claims, damages, and expenses we suffer as a direct result of your unlawful use of DungeonTome, your serious breach of these Terms, or content you upload, edit, publish, or share that is unlawful, infringes intellectual property rights, violates privacy rights, or otherwise violates these Terms.
This does not apply to the extent the issue was caused by us, or to losses that are not reasonably foreseeable.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will take reasonable steps to let you know, such as by updating this page, showing a notice, or contacting you through the service.
The date and version table above show when these Terms were last updated. If you continue using DungeonTome after an update takes effect, you agree to the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, except that mandatory consumer protection laws in another part of the United Kingdom or another country may also apply where required by law.
The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction over disputes relating to these Terms, except that if you live in Scotland, Northern Ireland, or another country, you may also have the right to bring proceedings where you live.
